Well we finally have the body work complete and it's now off to the paint booth for painting in Ford's Candy Apple Red. |

After spending overnight to allow the paint to set-up the car is pushed out of Nick's paint booth and loaded on the flat-bed.

I have had a few questions about those "off-road tires" that have graced the car since the start of the project. Here is one of the new Styled Steel Wheels that were Ford options in 67. On these wheels are now mounted 67 correct single red-line radial tires April 09, 2004

The totally rebuilt engine and transmission is now in, the Autolite 4 barrel carburetor rebuilt and Steve is adding the anti-freeze prior to the first test running. April 12, 2004

Here's the engine all set to go. Click Here to view the 1 min 30 sec video (8 meg) of the first firing and test run. Keep your eye on the red antifreeze jug cap sitting on the battery. See if you can guess where it ended up :-) The mention of oil drip was expected as the valve covers were not bolted down in case any adjustments was necessary with rockers.

Once again Terry from Active Towing picked the car up from Steve's shop (Steve drove it onto the flat bed - the cars first drive) and delivered it to Kevin Cashubec the owner of Cambridge Auto Glass and Trim to have the new roof installed. April 14, 2004

With the hood on and quite a bit of the chrome hardware, the car is looking better and better all the time. Steve is working towards an official launch on the May 2-4 weekend. April 14, 2004

Kevin is a real perfectionist which was obvious as I watched him spend a long period of time steaming out small folds still left from when the roof was packed for shipping. The new roof looks as good or better than new. Thanks Kevin. April 14, 2004
