Floor and Body Work

The project is moving towards paint as the floor pans have been replaced and work now moves to fitting fenders and doors and complete some small amount of body work in preparation for paint the first week of July.

The rusted floor pans and seat pans have now been replaced with new after market steel.

The car is back on the rotisserie as Steve prepares the bottom for epoxy primer and then a finish coat of a low gloss black

The donor Grande has now been stripped of usable parts and here is being hauled away by a friend who plans to use the 289 C4 power train in a pick-up restoration.

The rear body work is complete with the first pass of block sanding complete.

The body panels and doors fit very well. Just a few dings in the hood and one front fender that need a small amount of filler.

The top-loader transmission is rebuilt, the engine is just about complete.  With final body work due to be completed shortly, she's off to Matt Cochrane Autobody for paint on July 3rd
