Projected Look Spring 2008

August - November 2007
An Update
last updated Monday, May 19, 2008

It is amazing how many SCJ fans worldwide have been following this project.  I have been receiving emails on a regular basis asking how the project  is going as no updates have been posted.

The car is still at Cochrane Autobody and progress is being made albeit slow but steady.  Matt has been working on panel alignment issues as well as some minor smoothing of some areas especially around original factory seams.   The SCJ is now in tinted primer with photos below.

I still hope to see the car back with Steve for the re-assembly by month end.  For all you fans following this build, I will try and do a better job of keeping you updated.

Dan from Active Franks picked the pony up at the shop and delivered it to Matt Cochrane's shop in Blair

The car is now in Matt's paint booth and will receive some additional blocking before a final primer is applied

With the huge Ram Air hood, the SCJ has a mean look from the front end

The SCJ is now in tinted primer in preparation for yet another block sanding.

Between real work :) Matt found time for touch up body work and aligning the body panels and doors.  He now has the car in tinted primer and will now do another pass at block sanding.

The tinted primer makes it much easier to eyeball any minor hills or valleys and after final paint ugly stone chips in the paint do not show in a typical black or grey primer colour
