These photos were taken with my RIM Blackberry Curve
and I am quite pleased with the quality.

If all goes well I expect that the car will be in
Matt's booth most of this week for the semi-gloss black and Grabber
Yellow final paint and badging. Fingers crossed

Well folks - thanks for crossing your fingers.
As of
last evening Matt got the car into the booth and the SCJ is now back in it's original Ford Grabber
Yellow.

Today the blackout parts of the hood and body will be
masked off and painted in the semi-gloss black.

The rear tail light panel will also be masked off to
allow the semi-gloss black to be applied around the light and fuel
openings.

The hood blackout has now been masked off.
Matt Cochrane never works with decals or templates but rather
free-hand in the style originally used by Ford.
The next step will be to mix the semi-gloss black
paint and paint the blacked out area of the hood.
We carefully researched many articles to attain the
proper semi-gloss black paint as well as the spacing and black-out
stripe widths used on the Mach 1 hoods. John Blair's
71
429 Mega-Site was of great assistance.
The lower blackout area is also masked off in
preparation for the same semi gloss paint which Matt plans to shoot
later today. The car should be ready to move back to the shop
on Monday morning.

Steve was busy today blowing out the drive into his
shop for delivery of the car by Active Franks flatbed.

Today Matt painted the engine compartment and door
black-out area in the same semi-gloss black used on the hood and
lower body striped.

The fenders have been removed and will be transported
off the car.

Here Matt has just finished painting the
black-out area around the doors so no yellow is visible along the
lower body stripe.

We have all heard of the California Duster but for
dusting off snow? Well Matt needed to use his duster to remove
the snow that was falling fast and furious at pickup time

Out of the shop and onto the flatbed. We still
have some Grabber Yellow to apply on the inner fender area however
that can easily be done at Steve's shop.

The SCJ is now safely back in Steve's shop.
Work will commence as soon as Steve finishes prepping the body on
his 69 428 SCJ

The fenders were set in place and covered with the
hood just lying on padded blankets until work next progress

It is
now just one year since we started the disassembly of
the car. The rest of the work will be downhill as
re-assembly is always much cleaner and enjoyable than
body work. So the project will be on hold
again until mid January.
I'll
take this time to wish everyone out there a very Merry
Christmas and a Happy New year. And don't be shy about emailing me
about your project or your interest in this one.
