The hood, fenders and grill are now on and the pony is looking like a car and will hopefully be ready for the safety check this weekend.

There are still some vacuum line and wiring dressing to finish and  add the ram air intake.

The interior is coming along with some of the floor mats in.  The seats are next.

There ram air intake is now installed.   The 429 RAM AIR hood badging and side hockey stick decals will be added later.

If you can notice the licence plates are on R 429SCJ.  Unfortunately some other lucky Ontario SCJ owners have 429SCJ and 429SCJ R

Yours truly trying to clean up the original Magnum 500 wheels to get me by for a while.  New BFG Radial T/A tires have been acquired and are being mounted on Monday.

The console cleaned up very well.  I did purchase after market inserts as well as a new lid for the console storage area.   Steve is shown here reassembling the ash tray assembly.

The original Magnum 500 wheels cleaned up well and I plan to run these for at least this season.

The SCJ undergoing wheel and suspension alignment at Voisin's Garage in Maryhill.

photo Mar 10 2009

Voisin's have a newer computerized SUN alignment machine that uses  wireless communications from each wheel back to the server.

photo Mar 10 2009

A total wheel alignment including setting the camber and caster was performed to bring the new suspension into spec.

photo Mar 10 2009

The alignment went well and the car passed the safety check with flying colours.  The licence sticker was acquired and now this pony is headed for  the barn until the real Spring arrives.

The car drove like a dream.   It was pouring rain so all of the weather seals certainly got a good workout.  As soon as we get another break in the weather the car will be headed to Cochrane Autobody to have the paint buffed and the Mach 1 badging decals applied.   When we get a nice bright day I will roll the SCJ out and take some under hood and interior close-ups.   Stay tuned....
